We are currently seeking an Environmental Healt and Safety Manager for our Reidsville facility. The Environmental Health and Safety Manager reports directly to the Plant Manager.

  • Coordinate and maintain company policies adhering to local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations.
  • Participate in development of facilities and inspect work areas and procedures, making environmental, health and safety recommendations accordingly.
  • Maintain environmental policy and procedure manuals, coordinating updates as necessary.
  • Implement training programs for various environmental, safety, and health-related initiatives in compliance with OSHA.
  • Ensure compliance and train employees on all environmental, health and safety regulations.
  • Identify root causes for unsafe acts or conditions, clarify safety expectations, and implement processes for elimination.
  • Create safety partnership between management and employees that continually focuses employees’ attentions and actions on theirs and others’ daily safety behavior.
  • Manage field services, such as breathing air operations, calibrations, safety inspections, and audit compliances.
  • Track plant safety performance in areas such as safety audits, training, PPE usage, and safe work practices.
  • Hold the position of Safety Chair for the plant, continually building and reinforcing a safety culture.

  • At least 5 years' experience in a safety/environmental managerial role in an organizational setting
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards and applicable consensus standards
  • Knowledge and background in developing and implementing safety initiatives and training for employee programs
  • Strong leadership, outstanding communication and organizational skills, and extensive knowledge of safety related processes and regulations
  • Proficient in implementing Hazard control assessments and Accident Investigation procedures
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite programs, including Word, Power Point, Excel, and Outlook
  • Detail-oriented


  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental safety, or related field
  • 2-3 years’ maintenance experience
  • Behavioral Based Safety

Temperatures inside the plant can fluctuate between hot and cold according to seasonal changes.  Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in the production department and other designated areas.
