We are currently seeking a Director, Sales and Business Development to lead growth and new sales initiatives in the Commercial and Industrial Business Unit.

Job Responsibilities


The Director will drive and support growth within the Consumer and Industrial Business Unit through new business development and deepening sales channels, identifying and capitalizing on underserved market opportunities.  The leader in this role will be involved in developing strategic/key accounts as well as supporting a team of sales managers with key management and leadership activities. 



Reporting to the Sr. Vice President/General Manager of the Consumer and Industrial business unit, the key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Develop new business opportunities, working closely with vertical sales leaders and sellers on product mix, pricing and margin.
  • Identify and develop compelling value propositions to approach and win attractive new business.
  • Responsible for the performance of a sales team with a strategic market-focus approach, and coaching on how to deliver and pitch CCC’s value-added solutions to achieve greater success.
  • Support the Business Unit in evaluating sales team capabilities, hands-on execution of sales objectives to achieve KPIs, including sales reporting, market mapping and analytics, pipeline management, bid preparation etc. in order to drive growth in identified markets.
  • Maintain a strong sustainable relationship with strategic customers by reinforcing quality, continuous innovation and solution selling.
  • In conjunction with Division management, develops the annual sales budgets and forecasts, broken down into specific objectives and measures for the sales team in alignment with overall business objectives.



  • The successful candidate’s qualifications will include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing or related discipline.

  • Plastics or related consumer packaging market experience, or allied products or services sold (B2B) to Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) Companies, Food, Health & Beauty, or Industrials.

  • Proven sales leader with a record of motivating teams and driving profitable growth.

  • Demonstrated experience in a solution selling environment.

  • Persistent, forceful and tolerant in the face of pressure and obstacles with an ability to consider a multitude of solution options.

  • Open to change with a willingness to embrace and thrive on new challenges.

  • Strategic acumen with a focus on sales but with an ability to consider the broader business challenges.

  • Metrics orientation.

  • Strong negotiation skills and experience.

  • Financial expertise in margins and pricing, budgets and forecasts.

  • Knowledge of and experience with CRMs and sales pipeline management tools for tracking and reporting of current and future opportunities.

  • Passion for success and tough performance management.
