    We are currently seeking a Manager of Strategy and Business Development for for the Atlanta Corporate Office.

     

    The Manager of Strategy and Business Development will play a key role in CCC’s growth strategy, assessing and developing high impact growth initiatives to support our Strategy & Commercial Excellence Capability.  The ideal candidate is a self-starter who understands both customer/market and CCC business needs and be able to utilize creative thought leadership in developing compelling value propositions and value-added solutions for our customers.

    Responsibilities

     

    Reporting to the Senior Director of Strategy & Commercial Excellence the key responsibilities for this role include:

     

    Go-to-Market Strategy & Business development

    • Expert knowledge to analyze market data, identify trends/opportunities and develop strategic direction that reflects in-depth understanding of business, industry and competitors
    • In partnership with Sales teams, (1) prioritize end market opportunities based on market trends and CCC capabilities, and (2) develop go-to-market strategy and compelling value propositions to approach and win attractive new business
    • Support contract negotiation strategy and sensitivity analyses of strategic proposals
    • Support commercial initiatives to drive product innovation roll-out and cross-selling (including: customer prioritization, sales pitch development, project management)
    • Build financial models/analysis as needed to assess potential opportunities

    Commercial Capability Development

    • Partner and support sales team on how to deliver and pitch CCC’s value-added solutions to achieve greater success
    • Support executive recommendations on deal terms and business development strategies
    • Support Business Units in evaluating sales team capabilities, and development & measurement of Sales KPIs

    Initiative and project management

    • Support development and execution for key strategic and commercial initiatives (primarily, but not limited to: packaging innovations, sustainability solutions, and inorganic growth)
    • Ability to illustrate the key phases of deliverables for products and/or business models as they apply to business unit/functions
    • Influence cross-functional stakeholders to ensure key deliverables are met
    • Regularly report progress against key metrics and milestones to company executives

    Corporate Strategy and Long-Range Planning

    • Chief support of annual long-range strategic planning developed for senior leadership team and board communication
    • Lead data collection and analysis for competitive and market intelligence
    • Company owner of primary and secondary research including Nielsen, Mintel, etc.
    • Executive monthly reporting and board preparation support as needed
    • Support ad hoc analyses for M&A opportunities and targets as well as other key strategic initiatives

    Qualifications

    Ideal candidates for the role will have the following credentials and experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or relevant Master’s degree preferred
    • 5+ years’ experience in roles involving business development, strategy, sales and/or market research, financial analysis, and B2B innovation
    • Experience in a customer-facing role, such as consulting, sales, and/or customer service
    • Minimum 2 years’ experience in project/program management
    • Experience in post-merger integration helpful, but not required
    • Intense curiosity about customers’ needs and how to solve them in a creative and collaborative manner
    • Demonstrated ability to take on a variety of different projects and tasks, as driven by business needs and priorities
    • Ability to lead through influence and guide strategy across multiple functions and stakeholders
