    The Director will drive and support growth within the Beverage Business Unit by leading and developing a team of sales professionals, driving new business development, deepening our knowledge and insights within sales channels and identifying and capitalizing on underserved market opportunities.  The leader in this role will be focused on coaching and leveraging the team to develop strategic/key accounts, help identify gaps in our internal capabilities and deliver on ambitious growth targets in the non-Dairy beverage segment as well as regional dairy targets. 


    Reporting to the Sr. Vice President/General Manager of the business unit, the key responsibilities for this role include:



    • Develop and leverage a team of sales professionals to deliver on the significant growth opportunities available.
    • Help the team and the organization identify new, attractive opportunities for growth across beverage
    • Identify and develop compelling value propositions to approach and win attractive new business.
    • Build the capability across the beverage sales team to maximize lifetime customer value through increased customer intimacy, utilizing levers including mix, price, volume and contract terms.
    • Responsible for the performance of a sales team with a strategic market-focus approach, and coaching on how to deliver and pitch CCC’s value-added solutions to achieve greater success.
    • Support the Business Unit in evaluating sales team capabilities, hands-on execution of sales objectives to achieve KPIs, including sales reporting, market mapping and analytics, pipeline management, bid preparation etc. in order to drive growth in identified markets.
    • Maintain a strong sustainable relationship with strategic customers by reinforcing quality, continuous innovation and solution selling.


    The successful candidate’s qualifications will include:


    • 8+ years experience with proven sales leader and coach with a record of motivating teams and driving profitable growth.
    • Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing or related discipline.
    • Demonstrated experience in a solution selling environment.
    • Persistent, forceful and tolerant in the face of pressure and obstacles with an ability to consider a multitude of solution options.
    • Embraces change with a willingness to thrive on new challenges.
    • Strategic acumen with a focus on sales but with an ability to consider the broader business challenges.
    • Metrics orientation.
    • Strong negotiation skills and experience.
    • Demonstrated successful experience negotiating commercial contract terms.
    • Financial expertise in margins and pricing, budgets and forecasts.
    • Knowledge of and experience with CRMs and sales pipeline management tools for tracking and reporting of current and future opportunities.
    • Collaborative and inclusive across business functions and within the sales team to achieve results.
    • Plastics or related consumer packaging market experience; knowledge and experience with PET and HDPE resin for rigid or flexible plastic packaging preferred.
