    We are currently seeking a Vice President of Manufacturing for Consumer Industrial Group. The role is located at CCC headquarters in Atlanta, GA.

     

    As a key member of the CIG leadership team, the Vice President of Operations is responsible for overall business unit operations and his/her mission is to guide and direct the operations team to maximize operations efficiency and customer loyalty while maintaining world class quality performance.  Of paramount importance is to continue Consolidated Container Company’s brand as leading packaging solutions provider known for best in class design and quality. 

     

    The Vice President of Operations directs and leads a team of Regional Operations Directors in a manner aligned with CCC’s Guiding Principles.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead a team of operations and plant leaders to consistently deliver forecasted production output based on business unit commitments. Model and drive accountability at every level; pushing self and others to reach milestones.
    • Responsible for revenue attainment, inventory management, cost containment, budgeting and development of manufacturing and distribution strategy.
    • Champion continuous process improvements through Consolidated Production System (CPS) across all aspects of operations; production, assembly, quality, and facilities management.
    • Achieve and maintain a safe work environment that meets ISO, OSHA and environmental requirements.
    • Maintain a strong sustainable relationship with strategic customers by keeping commitments, reinforcing quality, and driving innovation.
    • In conjunction with business unit leaders, develops the annual plan and forecasts, broken down into specific objectives and measures in alignment with overall business objectives.

    Qualifications

     The successful candidate’s qualifications will include:

    •  The Vice President of Operations is ideally an operations executive who has managed a significant manufacturing operation, with multiple sites, of $1 billion or more. Must have thorough knowledge of manufacturing methodologies and a proven track record of successfully managing in an agile business environment. 
    • Plastics or related consumer packaging market experience, or allied products or services sold (B2B) to Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) Companies, Food, Health & Beauty, or Industrials.
    • Persistent, forceful and tolerant in the face of pressure and obstacles with an ability to consider a multitude of solution options.
    • Open to change with a willingness to embrace and thrive on new challenges.
    • Strategic acumen with ability to consider the broader business challenges, and align team around broader business opportunities.
    • Metrics orientation.
    • Hands-on, involved style to with demonstrated ability to get things done.

     

    Education & Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing or related discipline.
    • 15-20 years manufacturing experience; 10+ years in leadership level position.
    • The role will require 40-60% travel.
    • Strong, self-confident, and sure-handed when faced with multiple high-pressure situations.
    • Entrepreneurial mind-set.
    • Excellent communications, analytical and strategic skills are critical.
    • Results-oriented approach to decision making; organized, disciplined, accountable leader.
    • High sense of urgency and a bias for action.
