    • In conjunction with the parent company’s tax department and a third-party preparer, facilitate and manage the preparation and review of the company’s federal and state tax returns and ensure the accurate and timely filing of all tax forms.
    • Preparation of quarterly income tax provisions with a focus on adherence with GAAP requirements.
    • Ensure accurate and timely filing of consolidated federal, state, and local income tax returns, as well as sales and use returns and other business-related filings, all in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
    • Find and implement opportunities for process improvement in company tax procedures and maintain effective control procedures over all aspects of the tax process.
    • Assist parent company with strategic tax planning for all necessary federal and state taxes.
    • Manage and facilitate tax audits by outside regulatory agencies; Provide support with various internal and external audits and special tax-related projects.
    • Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments and communicate the effects of these developments to management on current and proposed company activities and transactions.
    • Manage and mentor members of tax team to greater levels of effectiveness and engagement.
    • Train and educate company personnel on tax-impacting policies and procedures.
    • Forecast taxable income and tax expense.


    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
    • CPA strongly preferred
    • Five – seven years of previous tax experience required, with some public accounting experience preferred
    • Knowledge of Canadian tax laws and regulations preferred
    • Supervision of project and teams  preferred
    • Knowledge of GAAP with ongoing technical accounting proficiency
    • Proven leadership ability
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills
    • Highly motivated and desires exposure to many areas of the Company
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to interact with entry level to executive employees
